Star wars cake by special request from a co-worker. Made with graham cracker walls, painted with watered down die and frosted. Trash was made of chocolate bar broken and graded on a cheese grader.
Cup Cakes I poured the cake batter directly into the cones and using a muffin pan to hold them and catch any drippings I baked them with the directions from the box. The cone doesn't change in color. You could add a frosting cherry or a real cherry on top for decoration. These do not store long as the cone absorbs the moisture from the cake batter.
I made this cake for a co-worker who is gluten free. I work in Wellness so I tried to go light on the frosting and use fruit. I baked the cake in a doll pan but didn't get the rise I was looking for with the gluten free recipe.
The 17, large black dots and the B are made with gum paste. The cake was frosted with buttercream frosting and using a star tip with a black dot for the edging. I used a black ribbon with white polk a dots to finish off the bottom of both layers.
My son's first Birthday was a beach them so I made a sandcastle. The sand is simply crushed up graham crackers. I used a small amount of icing to hold the ice cream cones together.
